The Woodsmen opened the fall league with a dominating win against the Dragons. 10 different players touched down, most between the posts.
Billy Abruzzo was given the Man of the match for his two tries and his over all play in the loose.
The Dragons showed heart for the full 80, but just did not have the athleticism or experience to keep pace.
Plenty to build on, and some weaknesses to address. A good start, next up...Lake County Gladiators. Let's keep the momentum going!

The Woodsmen faced off against Lincoln Park in a match to determine to top of the league table.
A tight first half saw the Woodsmen miss opportunities, but stay on top of the score at half 11-10.
The second half was also tight, but the last quarter was all Woodsmen as they finished off strong.
Final score: 28-10

Old Boys complete sweep!The Woodsmen/Elgin Oldboys showed the qualty of players this club has experienced over the years. With Tries by K. Agnos(2), M. Moses, W. Tayor, C. Pinta, and A. Swiatek followed by conversions by M. Moses(3) and K. Beers(2) there was no doubt these guys haven't lost their skills.

The Woodsmen put to rest last year's experiment by displaying some fast paced rugby in a route of the Lake County Galdiators.
Nine tries by seven different players and a few penalites for good measure keeps the Woodsmen undefeated in league play.
